Topamax, Midrin, Migranes

I tend to suffer Migrane headaches as well as one of my co-workers. We often talk about different ways of treating and preventing this horrid condition. He came into work with a short write up on Topamax last night and asked me to look into it a bit. Here I am now reading over your responces to Topamax. From what it looks like to me it has very different effects between genders. Wieght gain seems to be spoken of quite a bit here. I also noticed stomache pain as well. Would you say it works well enough for Migranes, to risk the stomache pains and wieght gain? As far far as Midrin goes, for me it worked very well however it will put me right to sleep and very quickly, which is fine when I can sleep though. thanx
