ads and phlebitis, varicose veins, edema-Cam/all

Posted by ajappley on April 8, 2001, at 15:11:22

When I was on elavil I got phlebitis for a while. On Paxil my varicose veins seemed substantially worse, but my pdoc denied any connection. On effexor I got phlebitis again. Does this have to do with orthostatic hypotension? Researching side effects of ads, I find that these symptoms are listed (as rare).
Cam, I read a post by you explaining something like how the valves in the legs are affected by ads (but I can't find it now). Are there ads that don't have this possible side effect? Is it something that theoretically passes? Anybody out there know or have similar experiences?
Warmly,
AJ
