Richie-
I haven't been here for awhile or would have answered sooner. Anyway, when I was having problems with high anxiety and insomnia, my pdoc prescribed depakote (500 mg. at bedtime) and seroquel (100 mg. at bedtime). The depakote is an anti-convulsant and the seroquel is an anti-psychotic so I took my pills and thought, "How is this going to help me sleep? Why didn't she give me something..." Wham, I was out cold. I always slept very, very well on the depakote and seroquel so it could be worth a try. Congratulations on giving up the drinking.
