I lost about 15-20 pounds on Prozac, which is a lot for me (size 10-12 to size 6). I wasn't an adolescent girl, however; I was a 28-year-old woman. I think it worked by reducing cravings, especially for carbohydrates and by helping me be more motivated to exercise. I still had to diet, but it was just easier to stick to it.
