I am also on pindolol & effexor xr...

still have muscle fasics (twitches )& weakness from time to time ( from effexor xr )& still exercise moderately..

pindolol & all of the beta blockers decrease maximal exercise tolerance. pindolol does this less than the pure blockers ( it is a partial agonist as well). you can find quite a few papers/abstracts online on exercise & beta blockers. Beta agonists like epi & norepi & dopamine, etc increase heart & muscle strength during exercise...

also because, effexor elicits muscular fasiculations, stabilizes and changes norepi, epi & serotonin release, all of which play a role in exercise metabolism.... effexor probably plays a role as well...

I have seen no scientific publications on just what the role is & would like to read any you find..
