They're totally bizarre. I've had nightmares in the past, but they seemed random. Now it's like my brain capitalizes on everything I worried about during the day and the dreams are long, detailed, and very stressful. My psychiatrist said I should let him know if it continues, but I don't know what he could do about it. I agree with you; mine are less violent, but scarier because they seem like real life while I'm dreaming them.
