Do a web search on Restless Leg Syndrom.
I think it is a type of Akithesia that can be exacerbated by some meds. I think that dopamine antagonism can worsen it. Some take parkinson's medications to relieve the sensation because it increases dopamine levels. I've had the problem off and on since a kid, and I've noticed that antihistamines, and Buspar make it worse. Depressants help (alcohol and Xanax), but when they wear off, the sensation comes back with compound interest. Exercise and stretching helps, but again, the feeling comes back worse when i stop. I really feel for you, it is an *AWFUL* sensation. Oh, also, I've noticed that cutting back on caffeine helps a lot, which surprises me given that (I think) caffeine increases dopamine. Anybody know why caffeine might make it worse?
