Jacquie - Wellbutrin and Celexa have been used together with no problem. I guess it really depends on what you are trying to do. Both drugs resolve depressive symptoms slightly differently (probably). The medical community has not fully embraced the concept of different types of depression caused by different neurochemical breakdowns, but work is being done to differentiate between depressions. Until we can figure out some tests or diagnostic characteristics of these different depressions prescribing for depression will remain "hit or miss".

So, to answer your question, adding Celexa to Wellbutrin may help, but then again, it may not. Sorry to be so wishy-washy, but we are still playing a guessing game.

Also, because of the circumstances, a short term course of stronger sleeping meds may be in order, but taking anti-anxiety meds and sleeping pills to help with grief just prolongs the grieving process. As long as the sleeping meds aren't used as an escape mechanism there should be no problem. - Cam
