Any users of Neurontin (Gabapentin)?

The pdoc of one of my Bipolar II buddies started him on
Neurontin (Gabapentin). I've seen a dramatic change
in his mood, i.e., greater stability.
I'm currently on Lamictal (Lamotrigine) as my mood
stabilizer, but was wondering if any one has used
Neurontin with good or bad results.

P.S. I have to include my dog because he tolerates me
with an unwavering phlegmatic temperament.
