Hi Jacquie, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I've been away so much lately that I'm just now catching up. Its such a busy time of year with the kids too. I saw my doctor this past week, for over an hour. He switched me from Celexa to Paxil due to my complaints of side effects and also in the hope that it will work better on OCD symptoms. It is probably going to take some tims to treat all my little problems; he's pretty conservative about adding and changing meds. I'm also increasing my dose of Adderall, gradually, as the effect of it has been minimal and its wearing off too soon. He did prescribe Zyprexa in a small dose to control the tic that has developed. I thought it was due to the horrible dry mouth and my oral response to that but upon further investigation, it is probably due to mild Tourettes - everyone on my Dad's side of the family has some sort of minor tic or twitch! So far I feel great on Paxil (after just two days). I don't know if that wishful thinking or not but at least it hasn't yet caused a negative response. We talked about a lot of things for down the road, like a mood stabilizer for what he believes are hypomanic episodes, but I need to think about that and wait to see if the Paxil is going to work.
The last few days have been remarkably good. I haven't been depressed, seem to have more energy and motivation and am staying on task much better. I don't feel as though the Zyprexa has kicked in yet. I can't wait until I overcome the constant desire to create spit - at least thats what it feels like and I suppose to others it looks that way too - its really an annoying distraction! I'm constantly licking my lips or doing something with my mouth that the doctor says is way beyond the norm for people complaining of dry mouth from their medicines.

I'm way behind in reading messages on this board but I did see that you stopped the Celexa and went through a tearful period. Has that improved? Did you start something else? Sorry I'm not up to speed! I hope you're feeling better by now and have a plan to stay on the path to feeling better. Let me know; I'm anxious to hear from you!
Liz
