Craig - Neurontin is an anticonvulsant used in epilepsy. It was found to have some mild mood stabilizing effects and is now used as an augmenting agent to the standard mood stabilizers in bipolar disorder. It has also been found to bring relief in some pain disorders and in some people with social anxiety. It seems to be one of those drugs that works well for a select groups of people, but has a modest effect in most others.

Hope this helps - Cam
