Yes, neurontin can cause weight gain or make it difficult to lose weight. It can cause some water retention and constipation and this can lead to bloating. For me it's not a problem because I am taking Adderal at the same time--I have actually lost 23 lbs. The nardil was much worse. If the weight gain is a problem with the neurontin you might try adding a stimulant. I find the two work pretty well together, but everybody is different. --Dwight
