I think it depends on the doctor's preference. As I've called the doctors on the limited list provided by my insurance, I've found some who will *only* do meds if they're also doing therapy. (Which is surprising in this case, since my insurance won't pay for therapy with an MD---makes me wonder why they're on the list.)
