OK, Carol Ann, you asked for it. Realize that my analysis is based in part on my own personal beliefs, partly on the deluded idea that I have a bit of psychic ability, and partly on my tendency to project my own issues onto other people. hahaha. Hey, we're all guilty! So here it goes:

From the few posts of yours that I have read, you have suffered your share of pain and agony. In spite of all that, you have a great sense of humor about yourself and seem to be able to keep your head above water and your chin held high as life assails you with its slings and arrows. I would guess that at this point in your life things are relatively stable for you and you are cautiously optimistic about your ability to create your own happiness. Perhaps in the back of your mind, though, you are waiting for the next pile of garbage to hit your head.

I think your dream was telling you, or rather, reminding you that you chose all of this before you were born. I really believe that. It may or may not be true, but that belief is a great source of strength for me. Those books of knowledge represented the script of your present life that you were allowed to review but not be permitted to remember. Think about it. You've made it this far and you're still kicking. You still have a sense of humor and seem to have a very healthy sense of yourself that is able to review your life, good times and bad, with objectivity and compassion. And sure, maybe next week you'll get hit with another excruciating ordeal. Or maybe you won't. The point is that if you do, you need the ordeal to learn what you need to learn. I believe we get everything we need, every day, to keep us up to the challenge. I think your dream was telling you that you are precisely where you need to be, right here, right now.

I have read that in each life, we all have a personal lesson to learn, and once the lesson is learned, a gift to give the world. What a neato idea. I'd love to think that my personal lessons are largely behind me, and cringe to think that there are more excruciating experiences I will have to endure. But hey, I am happy now and I have to remind myself that worrying about pain and suffering really limits me and keeps me from shining my light into the world. What I need for my healing is what I get in my lifetime, so why worry about what might be? Better to start giving what I can now with confidence and faith in myself, and if the tough times return, hey, what the hell. It's only life after all!

I hope you enjoyed my post, you sound like a great person to know. As far as your Elvis dream, I am going to leave the analysis alone...hahaha. But tell me, was he any good? They mustn't have called him "The Pelvis" for nothing!
