Investigational drug assay and specific receptors.

Posted by Dr. Fried on April 25, 2000, at 23:15:44

Can anyone tell me how they determine the activity of an investigational drug at specific receptors, (5HT1a,5HT2a, etc., etc,), before human trials? What experimental model do they use, (particular tissue etc.)?
