I have dealt with something similar. I am ADD, and I did quit breastfeeding to get the treatment I needed. I did get the guilties at first, but then I realized that I had to be well to be the best mother I could be to my child. There is a history of bipolarism in my family, so I know what you are going through. It can be awful. If I were you I would put my baby on formula and get on the meds! My little one is doing great on it! You can still give your little one plenty of love and affection with out breastfeeding and you will have the added benefit of having your mental health so you can raise your little one on an even keel! Take it from me, I know! Let me know how you do, it would be nice to hear from someone in a similar boat!
