Depression OK, but anxiety not so good

Posted by Al on January 24, 2000, at 21:05:51

Currently I am taking Celexa (40mg) and Neurontin (1600mg). The Celexa has virtually eliminated my bouts with depression. The neurontin has succeeded in controlling most of my anxiety, although I feel way too high-strung and agitated at times. My doctor is hesitant in trying any benzos due to the risk of forming a habit. I've tried other anxiety medications, including BuSpar and Inderal. Is their any medications to augment the neurontin, and how should I approach my doctor about wanting to try new medications?

Any help will be appreciated.
