> Hi again Kelly,
> Bipolar 2 is used for people who only become hypomanic not manic. Mania usually results in hospitalization (sometimes psychoses and/or delusions). When you don't have a mood stabilizer in place and take an anti-depressant (like effexor or celexa) you run the risk of inducing a manic state, which happened to me on prozac. Do you know why you're not taking a mood stabilizer- lithium, depakote, tegretol are the big 3, but there are others. Take care.

I just started seeing this pdoc, see him again in a couple days, he may have a mood stablizer in mind for me, have done the hosp. bit and had plenty manic episodes, though I do miss the energy, am not looking forward to going through another one. I'll ask him about mood stabilizers. Thank you for your help.
