Nope. Best thing I can say, particularly from reading in on the experience of others, is eat well. Eating the right food instead of junk may not be as fun, but it's just better for your whole body. Different SSRIs affect different people in different ways. If you read the monographs at www.mentalhealth.com, you'll see weight loss and weight gain as possible side effects for all of them. Me? Lost 10lbs over 4 months on Prozac, gained 40lbs in two months and leveled off there on Zoloft. Go figure. I haven't gotten totally fanatic about it yet (just don't have the energy) but I have cut caffeine, refined sugar, and saturated or trans-fats from my diet. Next target, portion control.

Again, the monographs tend to say that there isn't any evidence alcohol will do any good or bad, but they don't recommend it. Put plainly, alcohol is a depressant, so it doesn't make much sense to be taking a depressant and an antidepressant at the same time, doe it?

All the same, I've had a beer or two on occasion, and my brain hasn't completely dissolved.

Yet.
