I'd guess comments like yours must make cognitive therapists all twitchy with smiles. Perhaps its the forced social interaction of your weekday life which lifts your mood. It the sort of "homework" my therapist would give me - get out and talk to people. It helps me, although when given the assignment I want to whack Mr. Smartypants Therapist over the head. I'd rather stay in bed too - but lying around in bed all weekend most definately exacerbates my depression. It adds to feelings of low self-worth, and boosts a vicious circle of depression.
