Thanks for your comments on this. Good to see someone trying alternatives to psychopharmaceuticals which can be as nasty with their effects as that which they are attempting to treat. In the SAMe thread below you may find it worthwhile to check out my posting on "Re: TMG as a SAMe substitute stimulant?? & 5HTP.." Some interesting stuff worth looking at their.

TMG is way cheaper than SAMe and may have some positive effects on top of your existing regimime. Jarrow has a mix called Methyl Donors which is way cheaper than SAMe ($40.64 Cdn. for 100 tabs -- more on the mix on my comments in "Re: DJ, your Qs? -- supplement(al)s for you, AB.. " in another thread below...

BTW, I have the Slagle book but I don't think those amiino acids are available in Canda, unless there's been a change in the past year -- how are they cost wise? I'm also checking out acupuncture and Chinese meds. at a nearby school for the same and trust they will be beneficial as well....

> I started out using 5HTP, and had good response as far as my mood, but it invariably made me hypomanic. I switched to tryptophan (available by prescription only, unfortunately), and had good results.
> Right now, I'm trying intensive psychotherapy combined with amino acids as needed. It's been hairy at times, but worth it.
