Also I've found it gives very vivid dreams, some of which are quite confronting. Perhaps this could be a form of psychotherapy in itself :) Has any other people noted a similar experience whilst on Zyprexa? One other positive thing I noted was the withdrawal of the side-effects from Sertraline.

(I have tried the whole gamut of psyciatric drugs and none have relieved my anxiety except for very high doses of benzodiazepines, e.g. 8mg of Xanax and Paxil which caused severe insomnia.) It was not effective and it caused severe memory lapses. I obviously stopped taking it. MikeLoan

Hi; thanks for your reply. I've not noted any severe lapses in my memory apart from the usual forgetfulness which I attribute to SSRI's. Perhaps your memory loss could have been caused by the benzodiazepines you were prescribed for anti-anxiety use. Personally I find them (benzos) to "dummy-down" the mind and are rapidly tolerated and larger subsequent doses are needed. Unfortunately here in Australia, Zyprexa is a hard drug to be prescribed; basically you need to be diagnosed schizophrenic, depsite it's usages as an anti-anxiety drug. -=- Moebius
