I don't take lamictal, but my doctor was thinking about prescribing it for my chronic pain (fibromyalgia), and I found a lot of info regarding use of it for mood stabilizing on Dr. Bob's Psychopharmacology board. Some posters said it was more effective for certain people than any other medication. The chemical name is Lamogtrigine (?), and the posts usually called it that rather than the brand name.
