I am not a therapist but have seen quite a few and have thought about entering the field.
There's a book, in paperback, titled 'On Becoming a Counselor' that is pretty interesting and can give others insight into the unique stressors of counseling.
Many therapists I have seen became therapist because of their own personal struggles. Many are very empathetic and caring-a few are absolute morons.
Therapy seems to get worse before it gets better and can take years. Good luck with your therapy and meds. Phil
