You are the one that is suffering and seeking relief. If you have an OK relationshiip with your doctor than speak with again on the subject, and ask him to give you a "trial period" with a benzo. If he sees it's working for you and you're not taking more than the prescribed dosage, maybe he'll have a different outlook. If he doesn't, search for a doctor that will work with you. Communication and respect is absolutely necessary!!
