I am wondering about Amantidine, a med the dr just ordered
for me to take IF I should get symptoms of the flu,
particularly upper respratory flu's. I used it last
year, and it was wonderful. Nothing like getting the
flu and feeling good...
My question is, a few years back I worked in a tx center
for cd/tbi (head injury). We used to have some folks who
were awoken very early, and given this med, so that they
could get moving in the morning...otherwise they just
wouldn't get up for group. What is this med about? Is it
a psychiatric med? Why isn't it handed out more frequently
as it does wonders for the average person who gets a cold.
Anyone? Anyone?
