I am grateful that I got the opportunity to try some physics.
For pretty textbooks and a monitor.
For a little bit extra...
For getting to think about some little things I might like.

I am grateful for stormy weather and sailing ships.

For having a space in this world.

thanks. you reminded me of when I was in the US... I can't remember the store... but you could buy tubes of pumpkin seeds that were candy coated. kind of like M&M's coating. sweet and crunchy. they were really good. far better than i'd have imagined them to be. i forget how good pumpkin seeds can be. don't really see them here. except in the cooking isle of the supermarket.

I bought mine at a grocery store. They came in a small package. But with a decent amount in there. Easier than cutting up a pumpkin. Though, I kind of want to do that, too.

gosh darn i was thinking of sunflower seeds, not pumpkin seeds. i have no idea where i got that from...

what do you do with them when you find them in pumpkins? do you need to dry them or something? i eat quite a lot of pumpkin... throw away the seeds, usually.

you know... i don't think i've had salted pumpkin seeds.

I just scoop out seeds of a pie pumpkin and the fruit too, and spread them out on a cookie sheet with olive oil. Season them with whatever spices, and roast in oven at 325 degrees until theyre crisp. Its incredibly good eating warm seeds and the fruit from oven!

I am on a list of several women who post every day three things they are grateful for. I haven't read or posted for four days. I do not feel grateful. I am slipping back into a deep depression where I just want to isolate myself and plan how to end things. I don't know where to turn. I don't even know if I want to reach out and make things better. I am tired of depression.

Hey Baseball.
How are you doing? I hope you're Ok. I am depressed too. My meds aren't working or something. But I haven't gotten to the point of making a plan to end things. I just bug the hell out of the people around me with incessant complaining and lamenting. Anyway, I'm sorry you're feeling so terrible. Please call for help if you think you might do something. Sometimes, when I am feeling that badly, I just curl up in a ball under the covers, and listen to melancholy indie rock. It really does help. I even have a playlist that it titled, "bad day," lol. I am here. Please know that there is help and love out there. Even if you can't see it. Remember that the feelings you're feeling are temporary. I hope you're Ok.
Angela

(((((Baseball))))))

One of my most favorite people in this world :(

I'm so sad to hear you aren't feeling well. Depression is horrible... This deep black pit... Feels like things will never ever ever ever ever feel any better...

But it does lift. And things do.

I think... Honestly... Walking away from a relationship is kinda like coming to terms with someone having died. I mean... Different in the sense that to start with it can feel liberating... But I really don't see how one could end a relationship after... Lots and lots of years... And not have it hit one pretty hard at some point.

I think that is true most especially (though not only) when one goes from being with someone to being by oneself. I've been by myself since... Well... Pretty much forever... And mostly I like it. And wouldn't change it for worlds. But I do feel lonely sometimes. And I am totally used to being by myself. For people who aren't as independent as me (and I'm autistic, remember)... I think most people really do struggle with being by themself.

I cope by being passionate about a hobby. Whether it be... Training Olympic weightlifting... Or reading anatomy books... Or playing world of warcraft... Something to get me up in the morning. And when I feel too depressed about life... I know it is time for a different passion... I just need to forage about a little to find it. Go for a walk... Do something to get some external input... Something different on the net or some television... Get an idea... An idea that puts me onto something...

I don't know what to say... If you need a hobby or something... Something social something solitary... I don't know... A new kitten... Or two... A puppy or a bird... A yoga group...

But people do care about you. Are grateful for you.

Hmm... Sounds like I need a bench top oven possibly more than I need a 12 button computer mouse...

When we bought our house, we were in our early 20s and I planted 13 Cleveland Select Pear trees all around the house. I brought each one home in the back of my toyota corolla! Now, they are as tall as the house. They bloom white in spring, looks like Im surrounded by popcorn! Then the flowers fall and it looks like snow! The leaves are shiny dark green and rustle in the wind. In fall, my house is surrounded by yellow/red leaves, and then in winter, the trees have tiny pear fruits on them that the birds devour!
My fav trees tho are the big old live oaks with spanish moss hanging from them. These trees are all down south. I see them when I go to the ocean in SC. My dream is to hike in the redwood forest in CA one day. Trees have always been special to me. : )

The pear trees around your house sound beautiful. I love trees too. Yes, it would be magnificent to hike in the redwood forest. I actually, I think it's a dream of mine too. We have a lot of maples around here. I like oak trees...all kinds really... :)

I have a Ginkgo tree too. It becomes so very gold in fall and the leaves are fan shaped. People take Ginkgo supplements and drink Ginkgo tea!
