I want an all electric model. Anyone have any ideas? Mitsubishi has a decent seeming four seater. Nissan's Leaf is nice but more costly.

However, I would still take a test drive in both cars and choose the one that drives best with respect to acceleration, noise, smoothness over bumps, steering feel, and cornering stability. If you think they are both comparable in how they perform, I would probably take the Mitsubishi. Of course, eye appeal and interior amenities count for something.

real opinion, 1) They are very expensive.
2) They have limited range
3) They take a long time to recharge.
4) There is no country-wide recharging network
5) The electricity that powers them is mostly generated by burning coal.
6) The batteries are made of heavy metals that make disposal difficult.
7) They don't make a sound like a muscle car and are really poky.

Your's and Scott's real opinions are appreciated :). Thank you both.
> real opinion, 1) They are very expensive.
Yes!
> 2) They have limited rangeYes. Most of my driving is within these ranges, though.
> 3) They take a long time to recharge.
True, though there are also a few rapid recharge units in my town. That would be about 30-40 minutes. Home would be seven hours.
> 4) There is no country-wide recharging network
Yes. Not yet.
> 5) The electricity that powers them is mostly generated by burning coal.
Yes, true. Unless I had solar panels, which I do not. Which is then the greater consideration. But I am getting to the
point of needing another care.... And then, well, I had thought it would be better to plug in my car, burning less coal than gas. Does that hold any water?> 6) The batteries are made of heavy metals that make disposal difficult.
Yes, very good point. Mitsubishi at least discusses recycling possibilitiesvfor their batteries. It is a concern, and something I do not understand, where the lithium comes from and where it will go.
> 7) They don't make a sound like a muscle car and are really poky.
As much as I loved Road Warrior, I am pretty poky. Horses rock. No chance going back to that, eh? And i live so out of the way in a mountainous area that biking would be enforced cruel and unusual punishment.
