Well

Posted by sigismund on November 5, 2011, at 1:31:36

I don't feel like posting unless I am slightly drunk.

Someone is now thinking I need treatment for alcoholism. Hope was compulsory in the totalitarian worlds, pretty much in ours too. Good luck.

I like Nick Drake

Which song did you post? Yes, you are correct. I can't open it.

I was crushed that by the time I discovered him he was long dead.

Since you posted on the social board, likely no one will suggest any self-improvement regimes.

I've got like 4 or 5? of his CDs.
The question, as you might expect, is do you think you have a problem.
There's no judgment here sig, I've spent long periods of time intoxicated at every opportunity...not with alcohol though. I've never taken to it, but I've got several hard core alcoholics on my father's side.
It's hard to give it up once it's a habit.

It's easy enough to keep alcohol from being one of my main problems. The main problem is the way I feel anyway. I manage to have a couple of stiff ones at the cocktail hour and leave it at that. Alcohol is pretty good for 20 minutes.

The truth about the world, he said, is that anything is possible. Had you not seen it all from birth and thereby bled it of its strangeness it would appear to you for what it is, a hat trick in a medicine show, a fevered dream, a trance bepopulate with chimeras having neither analogue nor precedent, an itinerant carnival, a migratory tentshow whose ultimate destination after many a pitch in many a mudded field is unspeakable and calamitous beyond reckoning.

"The universe is no narrow thing and the order within it is not constrained by any latitude in its conception to repeat what exists in one part in any other part. Even in this world more things exist without our knowledge than with it and the order in creation which you see is that which you have put there, like a string in a maze, so that you shall not lose your way. For existence has its own order and that no man's mind can compass, that mind itself being but a fact among others.

Geez, that was nice, especially the first one.

I found myself falling down a hole and went down to the shop for some SAMe, which seems to help a little. Sometimes I get worried.

Lovely to hear fom you.
