The first one, the raunchy one that I said as a joke, was Wynona's Big Brown Beaver by Primus, and the other one that I actually wanted you to analyze was Unsung by Helmet.

~~ Hey - I didn't know we needed to TELL you anything!!! Okay - I'm getting therapist mixed up with magician, right?

Okee Dokee!! Prepare yourself! I'm 62, happily married, with a 32 yr old daughter, 25 year old son, lovely Ginger cat & 14" Uromastix lizard (who I love like heck!!! & who is fine with being held & having me nuzzle my face against hers).

I live in Canada, about an hour north of Toronto, Ontario. In music, I LOVE bass, so Thunderstruck is heavy, driving & I love that. (I should add that the video I posted was the first I'd even seen of them & I frankly thought having the dude prancing about in shorts & a schoolboy outfit seemed somewhat weird! But I guess a LOT of rock stars are weird!)

I also love Metallica, Nickleback, & Ozzie, to name a few. I really like heavy music!

I also love flowers & gardening & have 10 orchid plants, 9 or which are blooming at present! Most of them, I've had for years & they bloom each year.

I also make pottery. Not using the wheel - my favourite way of making pottery is to prepare a 'slab' (flat slab of clay) & sit on my living room floor potting!

So wadelsedoyawannaknow? THAT should give you enough for your analysis, don't you think??

Oh, well maybe I'm a bit more complex than that. My son does the type of DJing called 'spinning' or 'mixing' (using 2 turntable & vinyl records & playing one, then gradually mixing the other in & they both play at once, then he gradually fades out the first & continues on like that). He's really good at it & has hundreds of records. He actually buys some online from Chemical Records in England! He's recently started getting some 'gigs' at a couple of small Toronto clubs...he's ecstatic. His favourite type (& mine) is called Drum & Bass....the heavier the better. He also makes his own music using a computer program. Anyhow, both my kids have exposed me to various types of music & a year or so ago, my daugher introduced me to "Human Beat Box". I'm including a link that I LOVE. it's from a Beat Box Competition. I especially love when the 2 guys do a 'set' together. All they use is a microphone each & their voice!!!

~ ~ ~ I did NOT know Donnington was so close to your house!! Yeah, you're right about his voice. I've often though 'jeez that must kill his throat'.

>like me so you are 30 really,you have kids at the age were you can get into some of there music because you are only 30 now,

~ ~ yeah - it was when my daughter was about 15 (17 yrs ago) that I started listening to some groups I hadn't know of. I've always been delighted that I allowed her to go at age 15 with a group of friends to a fairly far-off city to see Metallic LIVE - lucky her!! Maybe it's because I had seen so many great groups live - the Beatles, the Stones, the Animals, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Jefferson Airplane were the most exciting I guess.

> animals there your new kids right?
~ ~ Welll - I dunno!! Maybe!! But I'm much too selfish to have a doggie, as I don't want to have to do much in the way of taking care of a pet!

the orchids your femine side delicate an lady like.rock music is a smack in the face to illness,like you i have my animals my dogs,

~ ~ good point!

***a massive marine reef setup,*** what does that mean manic?

>you boy an his music , i still go to pubs that mix all there own stuff i like house an dance music an go every sat lunch to this massive pub two beers for price of 1 from 2.30 till 5.30 pm on my own an just listen.
~ ~ ~that's cool manic. I really love listening to live mixing. My son has his own turntables & I REALLY wanted to learn to spin....I asked him to let me try. It is WAY hard!!!! I think I've given up on it, but I'm not certain that I have!!

> so you are female but you are me,
~ ~ minus the dirty jokes (except the mild ones!! lol)

~ ~ ~ I LOVED that video. Who cares about the 60 part - they're great & they're really INTO it etc. I'm going to check out their other stuff. Don't have time right now. Gotta go to the dentist & get my teeth cleaned!!!!

~~~Hey manic - I thought the link was going to be corals!!! but it was status quo!
The marine reef set-up sounds wonderful. A few years ago we went to California & went to the - I can't remember what you call it, probably Marine World or something - at Monterey! It was totally mind-blowing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yours at the pub must be wonderful. I LOVE water (except not to drink! - except in tea - which provides my 2 'drugs of choice' - caffeine & sugar!!).
> i bet chuck berry wish,s he could play it this way. quo have do the lot cocane , alcholism, heart bypasses,car crash,s ,rick parfit the blond one , his daughter drowned in his pool at 3 year old,he suduced a fan whoes husband killed himself,
~ ~my gosh! Well, my son has done lots of drugs, including cocaine, even crack, crystal meth, acid, K, E & of course alcohol & 2 1/2 years ago got psychosis & has been diagnosed schizophrenic ('only' K, E, alcohol & the occasional bit of weed now - oh except for his LSD pre-birthday event that left him in bed on a bad trip ON his birthday) Why do I tell this, you might ask! Because he hasn't done all the other sh*t you mentioned!!! Far from it! :-)) So that made me feel good to be able to compare him to that!
>to some quo are the best band out, to others a joke,see them twice last time about 5 years ago , you lucky to get a ticket as there fan base is massive.frowned on for there 3 cord riffs , by some , but its those few cords in 12 bar that is the basis of good rock, an quo are the best at it.
~ ~ I think it's great that you got to see them! Ya know, these HUGE crowds really get me! It must be amazing to be a part of that!
Hey Manic - I'm going to start a separate thread about rock videos. I don't want to 'pirate' your free rock therapy post!
Oh - WOW - it's in your HOUSE. Lucky YOU.
Well, he's clean from cocaine. In June, when he moved back into our home, he had 2 one-time 'slips' on different occasions. He told us about them & said he didn't want to be living here & NOT tell us, since we were helping him. It was in situations where he didn't know the people all that well & when he said 'no' they kept giving him a hard time etc & he didn't know how to deal with it. He has a counsellor at the mental health centre, so they did 'work' about it.
He uses ecstasy or(maybe and) Ketamine when he & his friends are at clubs/music events. There are times when he just drinks. But he ALWAYS drinks! :-(( He's stopped taking his meds, so I don't know how it's going to go! We'll see. At least he knows that he cannot do coke.
How old is your son, etc. Mine's just turned 25.
He's attending a job-rediness-training course now at the YMCA. Also doing some alternative stuff, such as this free course (it's way-out-there, but it is GREAT in my opinion) www.tappingcourse.com
Check this site out Manic & let me know what you think......the guy is in Britain www.tapping.com
I've always believed in alternate methods of healing.. unfortunately they just never worked for me ; 0
EFT.. was unbelievable, it worked, in about 5 minutes, and I wasn't even concentrating, just going through the motions. It doesn't cost anything, it doesn't take years to achieve enlightenment before it works.. the worst is you'll feel a little silly.
I'd recommend it to anyone, especially for pain, or minor anxiety.
I haven't been able to use it for major anxiety yet, because all I can do when that hits is shake.
But I will
