After reading way too many fake news stories on the Internet today, I'm totally with you!

So you feel the virus is a fake also? Seems a lot of people bought new virus software. Guess scare tactics for making money. Love Phillipa

It was actually the "news stories" that were bugging me at the moment. I don't care much for the practical joke aspect either. I've never been able to see the difference between practical jokes and unkindness with the added unkindness of pressuring people to laugh at the unkindness or be considered a poor sport. But fortunately most of the people I'm with in person consider April 1 to be just another day.

I ignored all news headlines yesterday. I'll pay attention again today.

I ignore it, too.

Ive been so blessed to have been able to turn it into something else for me and my close friends and family.

April 1, 1994, was the day I quit smoking. I have never touched a cigarette since then. My daughter was 12, yet she has remembered every single year since, it was such a big deal to her.

She always praises me. She used to give me flowers and stuff, or a card. Not this time, but she still called up and said, "so, how many years has it been since you did that greatest thing?' She is a gem. (I had forgotten this year - oops!)

So that's all April 1st is to me. The other stuff I always thought was pretty silly....and sometimes came across mean, like you said...

Congratulations! Happy anniversary :) (nm) » 10derHeart
