Oh that I were brisk and spry
I'd find a substance for me to try,
preferably one to make it easier to put up with this humidity.
It will not rain.
Every so often a drop of rain falls from above.
I think the sea temperature hs gone up so it has decided not to rain.
No one can do anything.
We lie around like beached whales, worrying intermittently (as mental energy permits) about our indolence, and our surroundings.
Can we make it to the movie theatre in the middle of the day?
I would like to say
'Yes we can'
in which case we will be more active then yesterday.

But our heat is not dry here.
It's not hugely hot, 30C max in the day, but with 80% humidity.

CanNOT imagine heat right now.
It was -19C today & with windchill factor that equalled - 35C Yikes
AND hubby & son & I went out for a walk!!! LOL
All bundled up - 3 layers top & bottom. And lovely warm new boots.
ANYway wish I could send you some of this cold.

Well, it was just a bit difficult in parts. A little girl has her eyes put out.
But I always watch depressing films.
Last night I watched another Hitler movie
"Downfall", and it was only after Magda Goebells murdered her 6 children that I realised I had seen it before.I slept through some of it anyway, but I remembered I'd seen it from the shape of this actor's head.
While we are on films that may not be depressing...do you like farce?

Go figure, I always thought that Australia had an arid climate, but then, I never thought they could ski in Hawaii.
The film has been met with mixed reviews in India. Many critics find that it promotes the steotypic class distintions and poverty ignoring the country's burgeoning middle class. Somehow for me the movie would have lacked the same impact had Jamal been an outsourced customer service representative instead of a dump diver... oh wait, he was on the phones wasn't he?

Hi Sigi,
I love farce.
I love "British comedy" although some of the Monty Python ones are a bit over-the-top for me. I haven't seen them all, but when the knight is having a sword fight which continues as his appendages lessen in number, that part was too over the top for me. On the other hand, I found the "Bring out yer dead" part funny! - go figger!!
I love "Fawlty Towers". We have the whole series on DVD & I find them really fun.
That happening to the little girl is pretty heavy-duty.
But then, I loved "The Mission" & it was pretty tragic. I LOVE the music in it.
One of my favourite movies is "The Spitfire Grill" & it is pretty sad, although moves past it, so that it doesn't end right at the really ouchey part.
And "The Joy Luck Club" is one of my favourite movies & when my daughter & I watched it together (my 2nd time) it was a 26-Kleenex-movie!!
