They're pack animals so they become frantic and panicked if left behind, and I can't bare to hear them cry so I always take all four of them out together for everything. I love them like my babies so I spoil them by feeding them homemade meals and letting them sleep on the bed with me. And they're kept warm in sweaters and jackets in the winter while outside. I think they might have trained me instead of the other way around! But I don't mind as they've brought me much joy, and make me feel a bit like a rock star because people can't resist coming up to us! lol.I'm glad you liked them, Llurpsienoodle!

The white one remind me of my Brandy. I loved him with my whole heart and no one ever will take his place 17 when deceased and he's with me in a drawer next to my bed with my little black toy poodle they will be buried with me and I want to go to Rainbows Bridge as that would be Heaven to me. Love Phillipa they kept me going for many years. Love the ones have now not the same though.

Having a pack is something that I think it's hard for others to understand. I haven't leash trained a puppy in years. I just walk them with an adult they've bonded to, and they train each other. The same about (most) household rules. It's not nearly as hard as it sounds to have multiple dogs. I think people think one dog (or two dogs) x 4. And it's not really like that at all.
I don't know what I'd do without my little guy. He isn't as distinctive in his personality as some I've had over the years. But when I'm feeling blue, burying a hand or part of my face into his supsersoft (easily tangled) hair, is sooo calming.

Hi Phillipa,I'm sorry to hear about Brandy and your toy poodle. My dogs are still quite young, but I wonder how I'm going to make it through the pain of losing them at some point. They are so sweet...I think dogs are a gift to us humans. I love mine with all my heart!

Thanks, Dinah. Aren't they absolutely adorable? I bet yours are beautiful, too. I have yet to see an ugly dog...I am definitely dog crazy!
I get asked about the difficulties in raising 4 dogs all the time, but I tell them it's not much harder than having one dog. They're much happier in a pack and it's a joy to watch them interact and play together like human children. They do learn from each other...I swear our newest dog learned to potty train by watching the other dogs. She is a very observant genius dog, though. I also have one that's not as distinctive in her personality as others, but she's the one I snuggle with as she's the most calm and loving. And soooo soft. We're both lucky to have our wonderful dogs in our lives!
