We're safely in Memphis, and waiting for the word to return. As far as I know, we're fine except for power outages. We were very blessed that the system ran into dry air and weakened substantially. There were a few places that got hit harder, but Gustav wasn't as bad as predicted.
My thoughts are with those in the path of Hanna, Ike, and that other tropical disturbance. I hope they weaken or stay weak as well. We'll keep our bags packed for a while.
I know at least one other Babbler was in our area, or used to be in our area. I have been thinking of that Babbler and hope all is well.
