One of the *major* reasons I am alive *trigger*

Posted by Jay_Bravest_Face on August 19, 2008, at 22:33:44

This is what keeps me going...the fuel for my fire, and prevents me from doing bad things to myself. Heck...it's part of the meaning of my existence. A (small) part of my family..

http://tinyurl.com/6rf6gg

from left to right:
Sister-in-law Carrie, Nephew Kalin, My brother Parrish, my 71 year old Dad Garnet, My brother-in-law Brad, My 70 year old Mom (holding my little sweet dog fluffy), my AWESOME cousin Eric (we where like brother's as kids, and now we are reclaiming some of that! He is French Canadian...and I am part French Canadian...and don't believe the nasty stuff people say about us. We are really uber-cool, relaxed and open-minded people.) My sweet sister Michelle, Eric's sweet wife Edith (ya, she is hooootttt! :) But, no, she is an awesome, nice person. French-Canadian, what can I say?..lol.) Eric's 16 year old sweet daughter Leslie, Leslie's boyfriend Max, Eric's sweet daughter Emily, and his charming cool son William.

So, I am quite a lucky guy after all, eh? I just want the gal in my arms, and maybe 1 or 2 little ones beside me...that's all I am asking for..:-)

I feel a bit bad because I know not everyone has good family relations, and this is by no means an insensitive shrug to them. It's just for me, it's been my saviour, and I am spoiled and so lucky for it. I've often thought, if I could take the whole world of the lost and hurt people into my family, I would in a *snap*. Besides hopefully being a Dad (this is a bit tough...because it will be my second time around after a deep traumatic loss...but I've realized I now can do it..) to a newborn someday, I've also thought about adopting. There are something like 15,000 kids up for (domestic) adoption here in Canada alone, and I'd also consider adopting a poor child from a Third World nation.

My Dad was adopted by very strict, authoritarian,
abusive step-parents, but thankfully he turned out to be quite the very opposite. I had an amazing and wonderful childhood. I'd like to spread some (a lot!) of that love and goodness.

Thanks...
Jay :-)

Hi Phillipa:

Thank you very much for your kind words. :) My little dog Fluffy is a Bichon, but looks like a few other breeds because I keep her hair cut short. Most Bichon owners keep their dogs with that "big hair" look, all puffed up, but I don't like that look. :) She is completely spoiled, but she gives all the love and joy back many times over. It's so hard losing a pet, I know. They become a part of your family.

Best,
Jay :-)

Thanks very much and very kindly. I try to surround myself with loving people, and I really, truly do believe in the idea of 'love'. There is not enough of it in this world, so there is a good job to keep me from stewing about myself. :)

Thanks again...
Jay
