Fair food

Went to the fair and had

1) Chicken sandwich consisting of a chicken patty on a Krispy Kreme jelly-filled glazed donut. It didn't taste any better than it sounds.

2) Large lemonade

3) Spiral fries. This turned out to be a glob of spiral-cut fries about the size of my head. I barely ate a quarter of it.

4) Pepsi.

It could've been worse. They supposedly had deep-fried Spam and fried macaroni and cheese on a stick there somewhere.

Sounds like it would have been better eaten separately! But hey, you dared to try something new and bizarre, so that's cool in my book.

I'm always hearing about all those deep fried things at the fair, but in all my years living in the same town that its held in, I've never gone. If I'm going to be out in the heat with a crowd of people like that, it better be for a b*tchin concert or Six Flags. And even those things I have to really push myself to do, as much as I love them. I think the older I get the less tolerant I get of the heat. And I KNOW I'm less tolerant of the people!

T oh take it from me you definitely get less tolerant to the heat the older you get so why do so many elderly move to Florida. I lived there in my 20's and loved the heat now I can't bear it. Love Phillipa
