I'm going to be a bit AWOL possibly for the next few days. We're moving and I'm not sure if the new place has the WWW installed yet.
I'm scared. I hate the moving bit. I think someone is going to die when we attempt to move solid cherry chest of drawers down narrow antique stairs. I really am afraid.
I flinch.
I'm procrastinating even as we speak. sipping coffee SLLLOOOWOWOWWWLyyyyyy

Major life stressor - moving a is a major life stressor. Remember this and be extra, extra kind to the Noodle and Mr. Noodle and all the helper mover Noodles today. Going slow and steady is a GOOD idea. Going fast and furious during a move isn't wise. Listen to your Inner Noodle!

CS, you are so right. I believe there is a list of major life stressors and we can check them off and figure out whether our stress level is "pathological" or environmentally triggered by these stressors.

I have a color in my head to paint the 2nd bedroom. it's a warm dusty grey lavender/mauve. warm grey color, with only a tint of the pastel.
will look cool during sunlight and warm under lamplight.
kitty will do well with the move? Probably will be less stressed than the noodle.
sigh.

And, I just happen to have a minivan hanging around here, though at the moment it's packed to the roof with stuff for a show this weekend. Doh! Don't suppose you're needing any of about 40 teapots, my dear?
I hate moving. Little ones, big ones - makes no difference if they are a couple of miles or a transatlantic move - they are equally difficult. The cat will be fine! The humans will take a little while longer to adjust :-/

There's one stretch of road where there are 3 neighbors: a dunkin donuts/ Starbux/ Tim Hortons. They coexisted peacefully for about a year. Timmy's closed though. poor store. But yeah, they seem to be building more and more of them in Montana.

Nothing worse than moving . Good luck and hurry back. And stupidly showing again what is Tim Horton's Donuts? Don't have here but they have Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. Phillipa ps is the move close so no new therapist and pdoc?

PS - deep breathing; enjoying that guys have stronger muscles mostly & women don't have to be in the line of getting heavy furniture fall on them; - these things might help. Send them CALM, POSITIVE, EVERYTHING WILL BE OK vibes. If you can concentrate on helping it go well by CREATING CALM COMPETENCE it might help you feel better.
