This is so cool. Now I sound like some young kid all pumped up on sugar.....ha. Well, I was deeply touched by this, as it shows Bono singing Luciano Pavarotti's opera part in their collaboration song "Miss Sarajevo". (It's a few minutes into the song.) I think Bono does a moving, awe-inspiring job! His father loved the opera, and I am sure would have been very proud of him. This is from 2005 live in Milano....oh and to make it even more extra special (even if the video is cut off at the end) the song ends with the screening of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. (Some of which you may notice, many countries, including so-called 'civil' ones, don't follow.)

I have always loved U2, and I must admit Bono.
Have you seen U2 live at Slane Castle? It's on DVD. It's just U2 at their emotional best.

Yep...I have this on DVD. :) (Slane Castle). There is also some footage out there with Bono and Pavarotti doing Ave Maria. Unfortunately at that time, Bono decided to sing in his normal pop voice, in English. It doesn't quite work out as well, and is a bit sad because he can belt out those heavier notes in Italian. I've always loved the 'fusion' of the pop/rock world with classical, opera, etc. Pavarotti was one of the first to 'cross over' and invite pop stars to sing on his stage.
He will be sadly missed. :-(Jay
