I'm a mess

Posted by scratchpad on April 10, 2007, at 13:33:08

A codependent, along for the mess of this particular ride. I hate it, I'm angry, I'm scared, and I'm all alone.
I can't do this right now.
I can't stop crying; my heart has broken into a zillion little pieces.

Many thanks to Zenhussy and Gardenergirl for their aromatherapy recipes - they've been lifesavers for my sensitive nose. I truly appreciate your assistance.

Sorry that I'm such a downer right now.

please don't be so hard on that wonderful person i know and care so much for. she really is so caring, cared for, sensitive (which really is a blessing dear, even though it seems a real hassle at times), wonderful, gracious and down right fun to talk to.

you take it easy. i'm proud of you for volunteering. in fact, i'm not jsut proud, i'm a bit envious. i try and try to make time to volunteer and for some reason i make excuses instead. i'm so proud of you for that. and think of all those people who are thankful for you right now. not jsut people here. not just family. not jsut friends. not just the loved ones. but, the ones you are helping out by using your time to help them.

you're certainly a special person sexie pie. i do hope you know that. i know it.

do take care of that special person.

Me too. I guess I should welcome the hangover as a distraction. (I don't recommend this therapy though)

I use lavender in a mini crock pot usually at night. I've been thinking about making a pillow with my favorite herbs sewn inside.

Meditation usually helps me. When I'm really screwed up (like now) all I can do is a minute at a time. Even being aware of one's breath can be a quick meditation done anywhere.

Hang in there and take care. Never mind that I'm up to my neck in some kind of mire, could be moor, and in no condition to help anyboodle -there's hope.

I'm sorry your heart is in so many pieces today, and even more sorry that you feel so alone. That's never a good combination, is it? I wish I could be there to offer some comfort and companionship.

You are very loved by so many around here. Please be as kind and gentle with yourself as you are with us.

It was a nice one, though. A cry of love rather than hatred and hurt.
Maybe if my tears were different colours depending upon the mood, I'd feel better about them.
Happy orange, red or yellow tears for happiness and love.
Sad purple, blue or green for the hurting kind.
Look at the colours and people know whether you're happy or sad.

Jeez, now I'm crying in Technicolour.

There are a rainbow of colors to describe all the emotions you feel, each one as beautiful as the next
you are so very loved
you are trying so hard
it's hard to be so vigilent all the time
try to empty your mind for a time
give yourself permission to not think
and remember how beautiful the clouds can be
love,
antigua

Codependency is a very well known word these days but I don't think the average person can grasp how damaging it can be. It's usually the center of the onion for people in recovery. It was and is the hardest thing I grapple with.
I hope the skies clear up for you soon. You are a treasure to all of us here.
All for one, one for all.

Peace

I really miss the CoDA group that used to be in my town.

It was an amazing place to go & I ALWAYS felt better after a meeting.

Technicolor Tears » scratchpad

Hi Scratchpad,

Technicolor tears might be a copyright violation, maybe you can call them mood tears?

Sorry you're feeling many colors of emotions, wish the skies would be bright blue and cloudless.

Poet

p.s. Sorry, my liberal arts education forces me to tell you that Technicolor was invented by Herbert Kalmus. His wife, Natalie, was technicolor consultant on many films, watch for her name in movie credits of early technicolor films. Now, who is crazier me or you? ME!

Wow, that's cool!
One of the reasons I don't enjoy watching films on tv - or downloading music from the internet, even, is that you can't even read the credits.
I like knowing who the gaffer was. Not that I know what one of them does.

I'm starting to calm down a bit

Not crying, at least. Anxiety is mega high, depression coming in a close second in that race. I called my T, and though she hasn't yet called back, I feel calmer just having done that (that whole asking for help problem I have).

Many thanks to you all and esp. Phillipa for keeping me company via email today. It all helps.

I'd like to make a request of my brain for suspension of crises until further notice. Is that like a DNP to myself?

Scratchpad that was so sweet. Thanks a whole bunch. Glad I could help. And I need a DNP to my brain too. Maybe a request on admin for one? Love Phillipa

Dear sp,

So glad you're reaching out for help. I hope you're proud of yourself; or at least pleased!!!

And I hope you're feeling better each day.

luv, Kath
