Sorry Phillipa -

We Canadians are just WAY to generous to keep it to ourselves!! LOL

PLUS - hey! If we share it with others we get less of it ourselves!!

You Canadians have too much central heating.
If you had less the outside would not feel as cold.
Lenin said that indoor temperatures should not exceed 15C.
So there.

Well, it's -27 forecast for tonight, not counting the windchill, so maybe we're keeping a little bit back for ourselves.

That's why Lenin's so well-preserved?

hmm. I'm turning down the thermostat tonight.

I'm sick of Canadian weather too. Or North Dakotan, for that matter. But I'm really glad I'm not living just east of Lake Ontario.

although... I DO like a bit of hot cocoa now and then, and maybe this Tim Horton feller's got some-a that on his menu?

I just checked the weather before heading out, and it's -25 with the sun well up. Sheesh! And tomorrow it's supposed to go above freezing. T-shirt weather! Yay!

Don't you want to see him before he goes?

And you know I passed up a chance to see Ho Chi Minh 10 years ago?
The kids went and were very impressed. They came back full of 'what if's?' relating to protocol and machine guns, while I went for a walk on my own.

North Korea's an idea (Stalinist at least) but perhaps not so exciting. Now I hear a little voice in my mind saying 'Declan is advocating Stalinist chic'.

Happy Birthday Kath.
Hugs too.

Oh yeah Llurpsie - Timmy has hot chocolate & my very bestest favourite: steeped tea!

My fellow S-Tea lovers swear that they put SOMEthing else into it...we're not sure what, but it's quite successful in hooking us big-time.

:-)) Kath

PS - glad to announce that they say the temperature will be just above freezing tomorrow. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Hi Declan,

I am pretty-well totally non-political.

Now, I did see the Beatles (plus was 6 feet away from them at the press conference the first time they appeared in Toronto!) saw the Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, the Doors, the Animals...all those psychedelic-days music groups. Now THAT matters to me. I'm pretty blah about political dudes. :-)))

Thanks for the Birthday wish. Maybe I'd let him come to Indian dinner with hubby & I tonight if he were here & asked ever-so-politely!! LOL

Thank GAWD it's supposed to get above freezing. And you may be right about having the inside of our homes colder but it is SOOO cold outside that I want to be cosy as a bug inside the house.

hugs, Kath

Hi Kath

There are 2 things I would like to have done....go to a Grateful Dead and a Jefferson Airplane concert.

I used to dream about Grace Slick 40 years ago. That combination of imperious iciness and the tone of the guitars....it hooked me immmediately.

Tell me....what was the concert like?

You know what? My memory is SO awful that I can't remember much at all except that I was really excited to actually BE THERE & that it was good. I know that ALL the concerts I went to were really good! I suspect my friends & I had smoked up first, so that wouldn't help the memory part.

I remember very little about most of the concerts I went to! :-(

I do remember the Beatles press conference better.

So I'm sorry - other than knowing it was amazing, I don't remember anything!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

:-)) Kath
