I don't want fake hugs either

Posted by LlurpsieBlossom on December 14, 2006, at 14:15:00

I just got caught in the only downpour in days. 3 minutes later and the sun is out.

I was wearing a down jacket.

Now I smell like a drowned duck.

Don't feel much better either.

I have been avoiding work. Only done a few mins in the last week.

I've been doing other things though.

triage, etc.

Some folks are so friendly. Some are so smart.

don't know who I am today. maybe I'm a laundress. That's my job today. laundry. anybody got any?

Indeed I do. I got up the energy to do laundry today and was greated by the stench of sewage. There is black crud on the basement floor and a pool of really rank water. Sewer and drain people are on the way. So until I can go into my basement without gagging, please do my laundry.

No fake hugs from me, I promise.

You can do my laundry. It's been way too long since I washed my sheets. Ummm, well.....that'd actually be my blankets; the two I sleep between. I haven't put sheets on the bed in ages. Too much trouble.

Can I just add that it's 80 degrees here today? And I'm supposed to feel like Christmas shopping? WHATEVER!!

No fake hugs from me. I might pinch or thump or even bite if I tried. It's just been that kind of day.

I have a load in the washer that needs to be thrown in the dryer. I completely forgot! Thanks for cueing me. :)

Sorry about being caught in the rain. Hope you're dry and comfy now.

Take care,
gg

Thanks gg,
I have done 9 loads in 3 days. I don't use my dryer. I hang dry instead. multi-tasking. No need for humidifier, and I save energy.

Plus I get to decorate my dining room with festoons of t-shirts and unmentionables and hang sheets off the chairs to make tents to hide in. Somewhat damp tents, but in a pinch, that'll do.

Plus, it smells like laundry detergent in my place. I think my neighbors were spraying for insects, 'cause it's been smelling kinda yuck lately.

Save energy by hanging dry. and time, because I never have to fold and put stuff away, I can just take it off the drying rack and put it on my person.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((li)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

huge, VERY fake hug, just for you. because your eyes say 'i really really really need a fake hug'

about laundry: not much to say on the matter.

about being caught in the rain: i have a friend from high school staying a few days (yes, a couple of us are still alive, even though she really reminds me of how old i am). and she keeps telling my husband all of these stories. things i can't even remember doing, or having occurred. and i can try to deny them, but everyone knows better. but, about the rain, this r5eminds me of probably what seemed like the worse day of my life at the time. i was in college (the first year! talk about an adjustment) and was broke! like, eating 1 cup of rice a day broke (hey, gotta have money for beer, right?). out of cigarettes broke. i borrowed one from somebody and i was jsut beginning to think 'ok, today's getting better already' WRONG! it began raining, i swear god himself looked down at me and decided to show his sense of humor (not funny God!). i was wearing a skirt and walking home. the cigarette was ruined. then a car full of creeps (they were! i swear! beedy eyes, demonic cackle, you know, creeps) drove by and splashed me with a puddle! and i lost it! started crying, sobbing, thinking 'my god, this is the worst day of my life.' i've come to find out, it wasn't. i9 don't even remember what happened after that. i'm sure i got a cigarette somewhere and all was right with the world.
