Earworms, list em here. (Warning, could infect!)

Posted by gardenergirl on November 30, 2006, at 19:00:11

At the moment, it's "Five little monkeys jumping on the bed".

That's mixing itself up with "Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar".

gg, who recently spent quality time with her nephew

It's been row row row your boat for a good 24 hours now. We sang frere jaques while we were walking down the road yesterday, and somehow row row row your boat got stuck in my head... but with the alternative ending :P

Everytime I hear it, I end up with that Mini Wheats jingle stuck in my head. People at work must think I am crazy, because I will be walking through the office going "Mini Wheats, Wheats, Wheats, la la la la . . . Ugh!

that song! everyone in my house makes fun of me when i sing that song because i don't know the words, so i jsut make them up. the girls (4 and 6) know that song better than i. like i'm supposed to know all the words anyway (they're in some foreign language i can't speak, although my husband used to know french. not well enough to speak it anymore thoguh :( there's something sexy about someone speaking in french anyway, even if he's calling me names and i don't know it.) i can't be bothered with such trivial things. (i just thought it funny you mentioned that song, cause everyone here makes fun of me for it. that song's a no-no in this house!)

sad part is, everyone has told me the words over and over again, and somehow i don't say them the right way. i'm foreign language idiotic and it seems i struggle with english enough that a new language is out of the question.

and i always get these songs stuck in my head....

whip it, by devo (whip it good!)
three little monkeys (jumpin on the bed. one fell off..)
(and another song i slightly remember from my childhood about lazy bones, so i make up half the words. my son still loves it though!)

AND... i've found the best way to get a song out of your head is to tell someone else the song (and it'll crawl into their head.) evil,, but it works.

Oh I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Weiner......that is what I'd truly like to bee - e -e....

And the cousin to that:

My baloney has a first name....it's O-S-C-A-R.....

my head swarms with jingles......

do you know exactly how to eat an Oreo....

la la la la la la la la.....

and the hits go on and on!!!

Help me I can't stop now!!!
