My life has exploded and I feel like h*ll. There's a neverending crisis at work. Something I've been dreading since Daddy died has happened with my mother, and I can't see how my life will be bearable in the long term future.
I'm miserable. And I'm withdrawing.

I'm sorry life is so hard right now. But doesn't it always have to get worse before it can get better? I hope that things take a turn for the better soon.

Thanks everyone. It's not really unrelated to what's gone on in the last two years. It's just an additional consequence that I've tried not to think about.

I just haven't been in the mood, I don't know why. I've started writing a few responses to some posts, only to decide I didn't like what I had written enough to finish. I'm not depressed I don't think. Just a little blah right now - busy with everyday life.
I hope things get better for you Dinah, I feel for your situation. I know the stress of work crisis AND mother crisis all too well. When I was having a hard time my Grandmother used to say, "Just remember, things never stay the same." It sounds simplistic, but I found it comforting when things were bad. I guess its another way of saying "This too will pass."
And I'm sorry you're sick MidnightBlue. I hope you get well soon. Being sick sucks. Take something to make you sleepy and try to get some sleep (hot bath, hot tea, benedryl). Actually, that's good advice for both of you. Sleep is good. Unless you do too much of it, but that's another subject entirely.
