They are watching me.
Everywhere I go
Every move I make
I have an orange sticker on my (work) computer.
That means they are watching me :-(
And my office mate :-(
And every grad student in the department :-(
We aren't supposed to know they are watching us...
We are supposed to think they are 'assessing our internet needs so as to provide a more efficient service'
But that involves people being slapped on the wrists
For high usage during peak hours
And the like.Apparantly some bright spark has figured how to download lots and lots
While covering which computer he / she is doing it from
So they are tracking us all...The upshot is:
No more babbling and chatting from work.
:-(
So you guys have to babble in your mornings and later into the night.

Hi Alex,
Big Bad Wolf at work caught me on the internet so I have to really make sure he's out of the building. So I will be on more in the evening (my time, which is probably 12 hours before your time?) Whatever, hopefully we'll find each other.

me too, I think that most people in large companies are watched and tracked. I'm lucky that there are about 20 people who use my work station so I can have a quick peek at babble boards when no one is around but I can't post from work.

And the time difference doesn't help at all. But I do have to admit that I kind of like when I check Babble first thing in the morning and I see "new" indicators next to your name. Your posts are always interesting and so thought provoking. :-)

still, at least i can read and post from home. and actually... it might be a good idea to try and work at work. better to be seen to be doing some work anyway.
but i'll miss you all. the busiest chat time seems to be right in the middle of my working day so i won't be able to do that anymore.
but i'll still be around.
