My day - a series of unfortunate CRAP!

Posted by TexasChic on September 6, 2006, at 21:29:46

I'm too tired to go into detail, but basically, after the second 11 hour day of work in a row, I still left completely frusterated and way behind, because everything is so insanely disorganized! WHAT A MESS! I will have to do a complete overhaul when I'm not right in the middle of things like I am now. I actually enjoy organizing, its an OCD thing. But to have to work in chaos with no time to organize DRIVES ME INSANE!!!

Then I somehow deleted my email account. (They eventually got it back after a few hours of intense panic on my part).

Then on the way home I had a flat.

And my cell phone battery was run completely down.

And after pulling over I realized I was right by a cemetary. That wasn't actually bad, but was kind of weird in a 'where else would I have a flat???' kind of way.

Hugs please.

I did have one thing to be grateful for

We're having unseasonably cool weather. It actually felt GOOD outside. A week ago it would have been sweltering.

I also kept thinking, maybe this will be when I meet my soul mate! But alas, I don't believe I did. I did see a really hot cop I thought of asking for help changing my tire, but I didn't want him to see all the crap in my car - my whole insane clutter problem. I've so got to get a handle on that.

Don't you find humor in those days sometimes when everything goes wrong? I think to myself, "It is going to be one of THOSE days again." Then I start thinking up ideas of what could possibly go wrong. I even go slower and take my time and stuff still happens. When something does go wrong and adds to the rest of the screwed up stuff that happened due to the misalignment of my stars, I have to laugh at how absolutely ridiculous this day really is. How can so much just fall apart? What next? A giant rift in time may open up before me or something and suck me in. Who knows?

Today is good though because TexasChic is here.

OMG that is so sweet!!! Seriously, that made my day!

Yes, I do find these situations humorous, in retrospect anyway. I also always find myself looking for a 'good' reason for something bad happening - like maybe a series of bad events will lead to me winning the lottery, or to getting an incredible job, or meeting my soul mate, ect. I've had too many HORRIBLE things turn into GREAT things to not believe its not only possible, but probable. I know I am a good person who deserves good things. I also think if you look for good things you will find good things, and if you look for bad you'll find bad. Its all a matter of attitude. And a matter of MAINTAINING that attitude (which is the hard part).

Today was better, lots of progress made at work. But when I was leaving with a co-worker today she made the comment that this was the lull before the storm. I was like, this is the LULL????!!! Holy crap!
