hello friends

Posted by lynn971 on August 13, 2006, at 20:55:23

How are all of you guys doing? I had a very busy summer. I had two bouts of anxiety. One was very bad. I still have not found a doc that I am pleased with.

Anyway. I miss you guys. I hope all is well.

Luv,
Lynn

I was just thinking about you today!!! I'm serious! I swear I'm psychic! I was wondering what ever happened to that religious chic with the 13 year old daughter that was always so nice to me?! (I hope that didn't come out insulting! I can't always tell just reading it myself).

I'm sorry you had to have two bouts of anxiety. But I hope you're doing alright.

hey, TC, of course I can't speak for lynn, but.....I'm going to guess she won't be offended. I didn't think it sounded disrepectful at all, just sorta casual and relaxed. And she - we all- *know* your ways, from posting here, and disrespecing people isn't one of them. In a place like Babble with so many of us, once you start to get to know more and more posters, I think it's only natural to have little mental nicknames to try to remember people by. I know I do.

I guess I wanted to say, I'm definitely a 'religious chic[k]' too, and I would be fine being remembered like that. I'm secure in my religious-ness (just felt like makin' up a word!) and I believe lynn is, too. In fact, I hope people remember that about me, or else maybe I'm not showing them my true self.....

Lynn is a sweetheart...no worries.
...and btw, hope you're reading, WELCOME BACK, LYNN! I was also just thinking of you - honestly! - and wondering where you disappeared off to. Hmmm, a Babble spirtual connection of some sort...cool....

Your comment was not offensive to me at all. I am so glad that you were thinking about me. I hope that you are doing well. How is the job situation? Is that person still being mean?

Lynn

I missed you too. My husband was asking about you the other day. He said, "Hey, you still hear from Crazy Theresa?"

My boob job fell through. My insurance did not cover. I spent money on sending my daughter to an acting/modeling school instead. She was chosen for selection. I am not sure what that means yet. The Administrator said that she wants her for commercials. I told her that if she makes it, she can pay for my breast reduction. lol.

I guess I said that because its always stood out to me how open you are about your faith, yet so accepting of others. I grew up in such a repressed, unyielding religious environment that its refreshing to see that. So I think of you as that cool religious chic. And now I'll think of 10derheart that way too! I've had people question my belief in morals after I've told them I'm agnostic. I like to think of myself as a very spiritual, moral person. And being agnostic doesn't mean I don't believe, just that I feel I should keep an open mind. Anyway, blah, blah, blah, don't get me started or we'll have to move to babble religion.

>And she - we all- *know* your ways, from posting here...

Its funny to think people here know 'my ways'. I don't even know 'my ways'. You really never know how people see you in this type of environment. I think I'm a somewhat different person here than I am IRL. Maybe a bit spunkier.

Thanks for calling me "cool." I would never judge anyone because they were agnostic. Our relationship with God is personal. He meets us where we are. No one can or should force someone to believe on Jesus. I personally don't think He wants that anyway.

I am so sorry that you grew up in an oppressive household. I dont want to do that to my kids. I tell myself often- "Its relationship not religion" that I want my kids to have with God.

Anyway, I do not live the best "christian" life. I try. I just dont like rules and regulations.

You are a wonderful person TC. I am honored to have you as a friend.

luv,
Lynn

Oh, I guess you haven't been here since I got my new job! Its a huge advancement on my part, like a dream come true. Its like a chance of a lifetime. So I figure I am getting the payback from all the crap I've put up with. My patience and intense struggle to stay positive and not retaliate against the people who have wronged me has finally paid off. I truly believe it pays to be the better person, even if it doesn't seem to benefit you at the time. Yea!

well, sure, I know, and maybe that was poorly written. No, it was, actually. Sometimes I'm in such a hurry to get the post posted...

I only meant in the sense your words are fair, kind and respectful. Those sorts of ways. I don't think a person can *fake* those qualities for long, IRL or here.

Spunky TexacChic.....awesome!
