Weird confession - I love to floss my teeth.....

I didn't use to but I had major cosmetic dental work done last year to include 9 veneer caps to achieve a new "grill". They are beautiful and it fulfilled a wish and a lust I had for 25 years and FINALLY did it. It was one of the best things I've ever done for myself.... so flossing is a MUST. A Soniacare toothbrush and a highpower pressure washer of a waterpik is also a must for my new choppers and the gums that support 'em.

I also enjoy flatironing my hair - I think I'm just strange... or maybe, just kinda shallow. (smile)

Well, you might be strange, but I like flossing, too. I have one of those lovely handles, that you string floss across, and I sit and floss and feel good about it. I love the way my gums feel nice and tight, and my whole mouth feels so clean...

In fact, one of the first warnings I gave my husband, before we moved in together, was that I flossed in the living room, so if that bothered him, he should think twice...

Guess we can be weird and shallow together...

you know I really like how well the sonicare toothbrush works, but my teeth are so very sensitive to it...very uncomfortable sort of sensation.
Do you ever get that problem?

PS Congrats on the fancy teeth :-D

When I first started using it, I did experience some gum tingling that would remain after I used it. It wasn't uncomfortable while I used it but a little weird feeling after. I no longer get that lingering sensation. The Hydroflosser had a learning curve and adjustment time, but I have gotten stuck on that, too. I have never had my teeth be SO clean --- no longer ever having the: "my teeth are wearing sweaters" feeling.

Thank you. It has been a WONDERFUL thing. I never desired any cosmetic procedures but I always HATED my teeth. Having this done has impacted me way beyond having a pretty smile. It marked an important turning point for me.

When my depression really kicked in years ago, dental hygene went right downhill on me. I know it sounds gross, but even with brushing dailt, the combo of meds that made very dry-mouth, gave me bad gingivitis. I hopefully (knock on wood) have that all behind me. Nothing worse than when you look in the mirror and you can see the tiny black spot which is where your cavity has begun.
