Hello,
I am a new member, DWF 46, mother of 2 happily married daughters and 1 grandson. I am Bipolar/Chronic Depression with Anxiety Disorder-my God that sounds like a mouthful and more. I stumbled onto this site while researching natural alternative therapies. I decided to join in and hopefully find others like myself. If anyone knows any credible sites to aide in my research, feel free to let me know. It seems like my life is at a standstill since i was diagnosed over 3 yrs. ago when i was a practicing Registered Nurse. Now i take it 1 day at a time. I never thought i would be the patient, i worked with psych patients before but until i went through several tragic events at one time did i just pass out. Actually passed out on the floor at work, they said my body was shut down by my mind that then shut itself down except for keeping my body alive. It was only a short period of time. Sometimes i want to imagine this is all just one long bad dream, but funny thing is i still haven't woke up from it. Anyhow, i hope to learn and get to know some folks on here.

Welcome! Sounds like you have a very nice family. Are you still able to work? Sorry about all you've gone through, sounds horrific.
Hope you find the support you're looking for. do you have a good pdoc and therapist?

Hey I'm an Rn too. And also not working. I found this site when I was started on cymbalta which unfortunatately didn't work but welcome and babblemail me anytime. I worked all over the hospital floated for ll years then went into psych nursing which I loved. Fondly, Phillipa
