I don't know if your tongue is in your cheek, or not, but I'm finding myself getting totally wrapped up in some of the competitions. I think it was just the second night of competition, pairs figure skating, and this Chinese couple attempted a throw quad Salchow.....she fell, so incredibly hard. Her legs just splayed out, and she went into the boards at the side of the rink. I expected to see them come out with a stretcher, but she got up, and completed the next three minutes of her performance. I was pretty impressed.

Still, there's some pretty weird stuff, like the Nordic combined. Ski-jumping and cross country. I can't remember the last time I skied off a cliff, and went fifteen kilometres through the woods. And luge wasn't scary enough, they came up with skeleton so you could go face first?

I'm finding the whole thing pretty entertaining.

Good night!

Did you see that Canadian male aerialist whose skis flew off when he left the ramp? Love the ski jumping or flying or whatever they call, especially off the big hill. Would so love to do that.

I'm serious, but truthfully I haven't been paying much attention to tonight - women's figure skating. I am so amazed, really, WOW!

I saw a clip from that Chinese couple and the fall - OUCH!! that made ME flinch!

Incredible events they are coming up with..
Enjoy!

Damos, you have picked the two competitions I would most have liked to see, ski jump and snowboard-cross, and I missed them both. They came at times when I wasn't watching (i.e. before I got up), and then I missed the taped segments too. All I saw was endless re-runs of that American hotdogger going down.

Cindy Klassen wins her fourth medal of the Games, taking gold in the 1500 long track. Best performance ever by a Canadian at the winter games.

Hee-aaaahh!!

Aw man, that sucks. Think motocross on snowboards with plenty of stacks. As for the ski jumping the minute that guy left the hill I said to roomy "this is gonna be big" didn't quite expect 140+ metres, but it was the most perfect jump I've ever seen. So, so wanna do that.

Have a good one mate, hope you're over the virus.
