No joke, it is all loose and floppy. I can't find anything about it in the manual. It's a compaq presario from about 1997. Did I use it too much? Anyone got any ideas? There's probably a screw somewhere, but I can't see it.

Believe me, there are about a hundred bad dirty jokes I would like to make right now, but this is the only computer I have and the screen part has no rigidity. Has anyone ever run into this? I can't handle it.
Look, I'm going to try the hp site to see if they have any tips, and then go to bed where I belong. But if anyone sees this and knows the simple solution, please post. this is the first laptop I've had.

mines and HP, same company. I have screws on the back that look like they could be removed and theres proly something underneath?
Theres a 1-800 number proly somewhere you could phone for technical assistance?

I was laughing out of control at 3 in the morning because even though I may have broken something important, I couldn't stop thinking of puns. Even what I wrote seriously came out wrong. My wife is going to ask around work, and I'm going to study the situation in the light of day.
the hard drive seems okay, but I feel powerless. It may just be old.
